MIUGSA is responsible for implementing the Merced GSP within its boundaries, and has developed Rules and Regulations for implementation within its boundaries.

MIUGSA Board has adopted the Groundwater Management Implementation Plan to supplement MIUGSA’s Rules and Regulations.

In 2020, the Merced Irrigation-Urban Groundwater Sustainability Agency (MIUGSA) developed a fee structure to fund the regulatory activities of the Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA). Fees are adopted annually by the MIUGSA Board and are typically collected through the Merced County Tax Bills. More information on the study is available here.
